Never seen this clip before. Amazing how Victor Borge could act so convincingly!:)

  2. Gitte Lindgaard says:

Never seen this clip before, but it is so funny. When he plays the harpe and dressed like a woman, he looks at little like Norman Bates mother, not pretty…but he was a genius in all he did. Loved him and miss him.

  3. dasteufelhund says:

The bassoonist played in his dream, ha!

  4. Stephen S says:

is it bad for me to be a Canadian with no Scandinavian background to know exactly how to pronounce that? or am i just imagining my self being that much of a geek?

  5. katehoney90 says:

    the harp :)))))))))

  6. rcooper10 says:

I love this clip. I wonder who composed the music? I bet he did–wouldn’t put it past him. Genius.

  7. tvp900 says:

I love how every player looks like he plays that instrument. ie the tuba player is greasy and fat, the cymbalist is bald.

  8. MrRobertZ says:

His (as the conductor) expression when the piccolo first starts playing is priceless.

It’s amazing how he’s able to look/feel so different for each musician in the orchestra. Borge was brilliant.

Magnificent!!And nice to see Charles Hawtrey making an appearance on the harp.

  12. carolynkkh says:

I didnt know that lol. He’s truly a genius

  13. ellandelachapelle says:

What a genius! Did you know that he started as a child prodigy?? And made his début at 12(or maybe 14) in the Rachmaninov 2nd concerto? And then he noticed the audience were laughing at him! (he made strange faces when playing without knowing it.) Instead of becoming depressed (“They don’t take me seriously!”) he thought “Why not do something out of it?” (this is the story he used to tell himself.)
