   although borge was an obvious fan favorite especially on all of his visits to the ed sullivan show, i’ve read bios about other actors who said that he was a egomaniacal guy to work with who did not like to share the limelight with co-stars.

   Singer actor Steve Lawrence appeared regularly as a guest panelist in 1963 – 1964. This was the period when he appeared in a Broadway play called “What Makes Sammy Run?” What indeed.

   Borge appeared a lot on WML as a mystery guest, a contestant with a cornish game hen business, and as a guest panelist: he was hysterical every time. He was on the panel that memorable night in 1962 when a man invaded the WML stage on live TV during Melina Mercouri ‘s mystery guest appearance. Daly had to halt the broadcast with a “schedule two” designation. Borge found something funny to say to focus the audience back on the show. Funny guy and a great pianist as well.
